Cork city has gone to the dogs.

Unless he didn’t actually do what he’s been accused of. At the very least it seems that releasing him put himself in considerable danger and if the reports are true it put children in danger too.
In all probability it is him, and as much as you'd like to detatch his brain from his skull you can't.
If it was proven and he was released I'd be first in line with a pair of steel toecaps.

Passed up St Patrick street last night around 8.15pm garda cars and an ambulance parked outside the Savoy and a decent crowd of what i would call scum hanging around plus a pro Palestine parade coming down the street towards them.

Heard on the news this morning that Gardaí arrested someone near there last night. Assault?
City is gone to shit.

You can't complain until it gets as bad as 1970s New York as per pond scum on here.
It's very very sad what's going on.
The city is an absolute kip and the whole country is going the same way.
Once you start on a downward spiral it never goes back to what it was.
These things needed to be nipped in the bud 10 years ago but now, what was considered unthinkable, is now the norm.
McEntee claiming Dublin was a safe city after the tourist got an absolute kicking whilst she was surrounded by 5 Gardaí during the day summed it all up.

Yup.
I think the Yanks called it "broken window scenario", or something to that effect.
The horse has well and truly bolted as regards law and order, and most of all, basic decency and/or respect for others.

Yup.
Boundaries have shifted and the city will never be the same.
The aggression in town is frightening.
Basic decency and common courtesy is completely gone.
Remember having friends from Dublin who loved coming to Cork as they loved how safe it was. City was so carefree.
Loved socialising.
They were down a few weeks back and couldn't believe the change.
They genuinely felt unsafe during the day which they'd never ever experienced in Cork before.
