Heavy rain is set to fall tonight with Met Éireann issuing a Status Yellow alert.

The rainfall warning was issued for Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.

From early hours of tonight until 12pm tomorrow, spells of heavy rain at times will give amounts of 30mm to 50 mm with a risk of spot flooding.

The warning will be in place from Wednesday at 00:01 to Thursday at 12:00.
