There's a lot of that alright. I noticed on the way to work this morning that a lot of the FG and FF candidates in South Dublin are young and female. Not the demographic I'd associate with either party.

I reckon if we had a general election tomorrow morning it'd still be a FG and FF job. Few more seats for FF perhaps.

Think FF may have maxxed out under Mehole last time out. He was up against too piss poor debaters and campaigners in Gerry Adams and Enda.

Mary Lou (if she can avoid coming across as just perma-angry) and Leo both more capable operators on national stage.

Also, FG won't make mistakes of last campaign, congratulating themselves on "job done" when in reality only very few (mostly in Dublin) were feeling benefits of better economic figures.

Big election for SF - they may take couple of seats from FF/FG but really need to target PBP, Independents, etc to push on to next level.

SF could lose votes to those who supported Peadar toibin, mainly middle aged /elderly bracket, He had a bit of a run in with a SF official in leinster house last week,
