I've seen the first 6 of 7 episodes and find it quite good so far tbh. Not my usual genre but it's been entertaining, well paced, decent plot. Hopefully episode 7 isn't the complete let down you're hinting at

American Horror Story - NYC

Set in 1980's Manhattan, AHS - New York City is about a serial killer targeting gay men and taking heads and hands as trophies, first two episodes are out and so far, it's good. Mr Spock from the newer movies is even in it as a 'creeper'.
