they can bang on all they like about extra security and measures being taken and so on but the simple fact is that a game in rome involving an english team means a very high chance that people will be stabbed.

trying to pin the blame on united fans doesn't really wash considering they've been all over europe for however many seasons now? fifteen or more? and unless there's a great hush job being done, trouble is minimal.

don't let any club allegiances cloud your judgement. Stabbings at, before or after a football match are no laughing matter & nothing to be swept under the carpet or blamed on aggravating actions on behalf of the victim.

Fans coming home from football matches with serious injuries, or worse still not at all, is an utter disgrace.
