Tracing Family History

Mother's side is looking historically interesting now. Wow.

My grandmother spent time in New York as a young woman. Before she left to return to Ireland she climbed to the top of the empire state building, which was newly opened. That blows my mind!

Dat fellah she wuz wit in New York was a pure basturd doh, gurl.

I'll put it like this, I'm part Du Val from Dunmoylan ( would fit in with my DNA test too ) on my mother's side. There's actually a book that traces the lineage down to her father's name.

I did, I'm from West Cork pirate stock with the other side from the Cork limerick border.
Add in a bit of Co Kildare with people from the Baltics and it goes a long way to explain why I'm slightly mad.

Her mothers side came from Dromcollogher which means I have mucksavage blood. Finding that out drove me over the edge.
