Au contraire, I love Bantry, I think its the perfect West Cork base. Funnily enough my girlfriend is in the same boat as you, she hates it.

That's easily explained though. I brought her down there for her birthday 2 years ago, and we stayed in the Maritime.

What she didn't know however, was that the Maritime was hosting "An evening with Ray Houghton and Ronnie Whelan" that night.
