Because we're so great and wonderful. We invented the internet and coffee and stuff.

It's very possible we are a far more advanced simulation of that game The Sims.
It's also possible that a god exists and created the heavens and earth.
It's possible there is no god and all this is a result of evolution from bacteria.
It's possible all this is dream of some super deity in a coma after too much drugs.
I'm only guessing because like everyone else none of us know.
