Incorrect. Because we view the Milky Way galaxy from within, we get to see the entire the spiral arm on the outside. Observation is best in the southern hemisphere. Not only that, but our solar system bobs up and down like a horse on a carousel as it orbits Sagittarius A*View attachment 41607
And the Milky Way galaxy is one of an estimated 1 to 2 trillion galaxies in just the observable universe.
We're just a tiny dust grain in the greater scheme of things. That's my feelgood message for the day.
