The Official PROC Restaurant review thread.

Dylan McGrath closing restaurants now.

Ruh roh...

Yeah, that’s a lot of job losses. I’d wonder if timing is everything here as they just got massive write downs in both of those restaurants with that business restructuring scheme after Covid, and leases coming to a break.. seems financially easier to just ditch the lot and keep on trucking straight across the road in Fade St

Hmmmm

Went out to the Kilumney Inn around 6pm a few Mondays ago, restaurant was full so they gave us a table in the bar which was full as well ,great food and choice ,we will be back.
Was in the Schooner in Ballycotton ,had to wait for a table as the place was buzzing,Food great and the fish was magnificent, and a cliff walk afterward to clear the head.

What kind of food do they do in the Kilumney Inn? Is it a carvery or what?

A lot of the photos online look to be from a while back and it looks like pub grub.

It's been a while since I was there but it used to be pretty plain stuff, decent portions, and nothing adventurous. At the same time it was better quality than the Ovens bar down the road.

Really sad to see the Strasbourg Goose has permanently closed. They were going to close a year ago with the sale of the premises but that fell through, so they decided to hang on another year. It was really hearty nosh and I'll miss it.
