Would those rules have existed back then? IIRC the rules were introduced to curb the spending power of super rich owners.

Don't really remember Chelsea going mental in Jose's second tenure, and certainly not on the scale of City.

i don’t think those rules existed back then but you’d be mad to think that roman didn’t have the club financially doped to the eyeballs at the time.

they were operating on city levels of cash and impropriety without the regulations we have now. jose is a bigger eegit to put his toe in this murky pool.
