The Official Man Utd Thread - Part 3.

Potential targets:

Gyokeres - £62M. Wages - £100k per week (currently earns less than half this)
Quenda - £45M. Wages - £30k per week (currently on less than £8k)
Ederson - £40M. Wages - £60K per week
Inacio - £45M. Wages- £50k per week.

I think you are being massively ambitious in thinking Man Utd could tempt those players at those wage levels.

The average weekly player wage league-wide is about £60k.

You really expect most of these guys, who are being bought to get Man Utd back to the big time, to come in for that amount or less?
Utd may not have got Quenda, but the maths are pretty damn close to what i initially posted.

My childhood hero. A colossus in the 80s in a team with a few handy players and a lot of average ones. Can't remember this game though, just a little bit too early for me. Read a fair bit about it though and a lot of people who were there say it was the best atmosphere they've ever witnessed at OT.

Apparently Graeme Hogg had Maradona in his pocket that night too.
🙂
I remember watching this game on TV. When Stapo scored the third it was absolute mayhem. The roof nearly came off the stand. Incredible noise. Back then United fans were superb.
Moran & Hogg controlled Diego very well that night.
Thanks for posting this Noll. A truly great memory.
