Some good performances all over tonight. Utds best performance under Amorin so far imho.

Multiple chance's created from behind the ball, then look at the run he made from miles behind to catch up and score from open play. Would all this have happened if he was ahead of the ball.

Is the shape now better Nollaig, are teams not running through a wide open midfield anymore. Is play being linked up from mid to Zirkzee. Is the team on a whole playing better football because he's not running around like a headless chicken trying to do it all himself.

Give credit where it's due Nollaig, FedY was right all along. Na na na na na.

You’re losing the run of yourself there fella. Keane was the most important player in Utd’s best ever team. Fernandes is their most important player in their worst team in almost 40 years. Fernandes has been brilliant for ye no doubt and is having a great season. Fair play to him, especially in such a diabolical team. But to compare him to Roy is just off the wall stuff.

Fair enough Lee, apologies. I took your post to be referring to a broader comparison on the merits of Keane and Fernandes.

On your post, Keane’s role was never to score goals, and certainly he didn’t get to take penalties like Fernandes does. If he did you would almost certainly say that Keane would have scored a hat-trick for Utd. The goals comparison thing is a nonsense argument anyway. They’re on different planets as regards influencing and leading teams. Just my humble opinion as a non Utd fan.
