Yet Bruno himself has said that Keane's criticism has driven him to be better.A Keane in his playing days would despise the man he has turned into now. He's a proper pipe and slippers man. I find him to be one of the laziest pundits out there, in terms of doing research and tactically ignorant. Some would say, a bluffer. Yeah, yeah, I know that's not his job and he's just there to pimp out the soundbites.
He has played a clever game though, pretending that he wanted to get back into management for years, so that Sky and ITV would be putting a few extra zeros on his salary.
He's playing well now, he's not just scoring penalties and free kicks but is scoring from open play by arriving late.
More importantly he's also holding shape which helps to shut out opponents.
That was the criticism all along, now we're seeing a real player and not one who just plays for himself.
