Clear red card for tackling the ground. He didn't even touch the player. Granted the optics of it looks terrible, bit like RumpleStillskin but surely contact is the minimum for a red card.
It was crazy and dangerous no doubt about it, I think the fact he didn't make any contact with the player saved him.
Exactly. I know these things change every five minutes but I thought phrases like "leaving the ground" and "failing to control yourself in a tackle" are very much to the fore here.
To be fair if he did see red I don't think there could be too many complaints, players have gone for a lot less
