The Official Liverpool Thread - Part 2

Lol, clown is telling everyone what style of football to play against them. They don't like it up 'em.
i was watching him earlier in the season after games going into long explanations of his tactics etc, always felt that's insane, why give away your 'secrets' to all and sundry, makes zero sense to me tbh... if i were a manager i'd be telling no-one pure nawtin' like, yes and no answers all the way at best :)

IIRC that was the Man Utd game and he "gave away" some tactical details about how he approached breaking them (specifically) down. Fine by me.

The Dutch can't help but be drawn into a discussion around de tacktisch.

As long as he's getting good results he can recite 50 Shades of Grey after each game for all I care.

naw, he's been wayyyyyy too open in numerous interviews for my taste

keep your cards close to your chest m8 ffs
If people think managers don’t already know ways to trouble every other team then they’re deluded. Slot isn’t giving away any top secret information. Even all of us here know the low block has been a kryptonite for this Liverpool team with years.

I also don’t even think Slot intends it as an insult. Teams are entitled to play whatever way they want in order to get results and he knows that. He’s a respectful guy.

Yep. These days even mid-table sides like Manchester United ($MANU) have plenty of guys (and maybe even a few gals) who spend countless hours trawling through stats & videos to understand how opposition sides set up & how figure out how best to break them down.

Slot's modified approach this season has proven more successful against most setups this season - but certainly the low block, if executed well, will make life tough for most sides. Even in games where it's been level at HT they've shown an ability to keep calm & find a way through many low block defences in the second half.

How well they continue to do that, as players start tiring from here on in, will be a big factor in whether the league title ends up at Anfield in May.

Ah lads, Plymouth.

FUCKING PLYMOUTH :lol!:

This will never stop being funny. Slot outwitted by a championship manager with just a simple tactic known to Sunday league managers.

And then admits it afterwards :lol!:

I suppose you're hoping they go down to League 1. No guarantee of 6 points for United there next season like.
