Villa are a tricky opponent with a good manager so that was a good 3 points out of the way. The results are better than the performances though. They’re probably on more points than they deserve. Gravenberch has become hugely important. Him, Konate, VVD and Salah are by far the most difficult players to replace. Egypt have released Salah from international duty. No point him playing in meaningless internationals with his work load. All in all a good start to the season. They’re definitely due a dip but they’ve given themselves a nice 9pt buffer over the rest of the CL spot chasers.
