Great effort from a depleted Liverpool side, but I don't see how to win it from here.

The gulf in quality on the pitch gets bigger through ET.

And if you keep it level, then you've got a loads of kids or defenders for pens.

The game has developed as I expected. We needed an early goal or two when had the best 11 on the pitch and had energy. Even the young lads who have come on look short on energy and this is like we are kicking the ball off a wall - it just keeps coming back and it’s almost inevitable Chelsea score. Even if we did make it to pens we don’t really have any good takers. It’s almost laughable in a way!
