It's a totally different game and I don't particularly enjoy watching it but, I do respect the fitness and unique skill set it requires.

Ireland A will play a New Zealand XV on the 4th of November at the RDS.

Thats the night before the Springboks game so a good chance for a second string 23 to get a run out and you'd hope the majority of that second string 23 would be involved the following week against Fiji.

Throw in the 3 games in South africa in a few weeks and there should be plenty of chances for lads to put their hands up

RIP. He was the voice of rugby for me, Bill McLaren was winding down just as I was getting into it. The intros got very cringe worthy over time. They flogged that to death like everything else the BBC touches. Dying in your sleep in Andes isn't a bad way to go at all!
