As inconsistent as Carberry is lately he is a better player than Ross Byrne

Earls lucky that Conway and Balacoune are injured but at this stage you'd think they would give someone like Daly or Porch exposure to the set up. Earls looks finished

Earls looked way off the paces in any games so far this season and maybe Carbery just needs that kick up the arse as he was poor last week but very good against the Bulls but the are probably banking on Crowley for the future.

Also Murray must be on borrowed time.

Earls is a lucky boy alright. I'd have thought Shane Daly or Nash would be in with a big shout for this.
Another of players there for continuity and their senior status which probably explains Murray and POM to a lesser extent. Could probably chuck Conan in there too.
You'd worry he'd start and Coombes is on the bench due to versatility as Conan is just an 8 really.

If Ross Byrne starts ahead of Jack ...

Maybe he's borrowing from the same place Sexton is

Its nothing short of madness to cut Carbery loose this close to the world cup.

Hes the backup 10. Presumably Sexton will play every game this six nations so Crowley might get 5 or 10 minutes at centre.

Earls should be nowhere near the squad.
