Yeah, a grand Cork horse was Denman. Just watching that there, how fooking long is that straight?!? I have a theory that long straights like that leave a mark on horses who get into a battle. They were hard at it there for a good 4 furlongs. Doncaster and York spring to mind for flat equivalents.
 
Harry Findlay, former owner of Denman, was fuming with the ride Ruby Walsh gave him at the 2006 Royal&SunAlliance Novices Hurdle, where Denman finished second but was backed off the boards. Not one of Ruby’s finest moments.
