Arsenal fans are a needy bunch. It’s generally accepted that they have a very good team but any suggestions that they’re not 1982 Brazil is met with a load of screeching.

They play a style of football that’s risk averse and poor to watch.

They spent the Wenger era sipping lattes scoffing at the agricultural hoofball of opponents, thinking they were the gatekeepers of the beautiful game.

That Arteta type of football is acceptable if it wins big trophies,(Mourinho/Simeone/Allegri) or if you’re a small club punching above your financial weight (Pulis/Allardyce/Dyche). Arteta needs to deliver a big one and soon.

If Man City finish on 85 points or less then Arsenal not winning it is a massive failure.

Wenger was a brilliant manager that played some of the best football the league has ever seen, those teams were a joy to watch.

How that man was treated by the fanbase was a disgrace.
