The Official Arsenal Thread - Part 2

this new CL format hasnt really got the juices flowing if im been honest , Arsenal away to lisbon should be a big enough game but i havnt even thought about it till this morning , im out the country today and the local team are playing cl at home tonight so might struggle to even find a pub to watch it in ,i did get tickets for the europa league game thursday night so looking forward to going to that as a neutral.
all about the money with UEFA and the clubs with the extra games .

100%,

Even with United not there this year ud still be looking forward to a few tasty group games.

A home loss by a favourite and the group would thrown wide open. Now there's plenty of games to turn it about in the standings.

You'd nearly want to lose most of your games not to qualify. There's no jeopardy so the games generate little or no excitement.

They've ruined the competition tbh. The gates will have to start dropping if the casual fans are starting to lose interest.

Nobody who matters in football asked for this.

Not the fans, not the players and definitely not the managers.

But the dunderheads in FIFA and UEFA press on regardless.
