Bumnal have faced 95 shots in the EPL this season. That's two more than South fucking Hampton.

Now they were probably low quality shots for a good number of them, but that alone indicates fellas getting frustrated and taking those pot shots against the two banks of five.

I'm not saying it's not effective BTW, it clearly is, bit it's brutal to watch. If you didn't have your Bumnal glasses on, you'd agree.

Although they are giving up the 4th most shots against they are not far off 4th lowest in terms of total xG given up.

In short, defensively, it's been hugely effective.

They just need to be careful that they don't channel Pulis so much that they lose the muscle memory at the other end of the pitch.

And before Handy starts his whataboutery, they've won the possession battle in 4/9 games this season, and they just barely won it v Wolves.

At home. One of the the other 3 was v Bolton in the league cup.

They're 6th in fouls committed in the EPL this season, with 34 more than those arch cheats Man City. Arteta has got them doing far more cynical fouling now than City have ever done.

But it's okay because it's Bumnal.

I'd rather watch paint dry tbphwy. From now on, I'll be avidly watching...............their stats.

It's not against the law to try and maintain possession when you have ten men. I've watched good teams do it well many times over the years.

17 fouls, at home to Wolves <checks notes, yep, wolves have one point>

16 fouls away to Villa.

Losing the possession battle by almost 2 to 1 away to Sp*rs.

Doing the same at home to PSG in the CL. 7 shots the whole game. A Mourinho Masterclass
