Yeah - she jumped as that motion was from FF and would have blown up the confidence and supply agreement in operation at the time.

She wasn’t justice minister when the vote of no confidence in her was threatened by Mehole, Flanagan was. She resigned as minister of innovation and trade but was later cleared by some report on disclosures tribunal

Carers are saving the state an absolute fortune, some of them are lucky if they get a few hours respite now and again,

May be that they were wrongly advised. If condition is permanent and continuing need for supervision, claim should still be allowed.

Their election promise to freeze rents for three years will 100% worsen the situation in the rental market. What landlord already subject to increasing interest rates is going to stick about when they cant even make the existing negligible rises in RPZs? (that dont match inflation).

Such a move will see a further exodus from the rental market, constricting supply and making it even more difficult for people to find a place to live. Thats not idle speculation by the way , it is a cast iron certainty.


Its one thing to promise populist measures its another thing entirely when they will clearly have damaging consequences.
