Virgin media have a tweet about a new social housing development opened yesterday, MM was there, Virgin
media made a point of saying one of the families housed had been on the housing list for 14 years,
Lot of anger on twitter replies re this, but other asking if the family had made any effort in those 14 years to rent privately?
I suppose different families have different circumstances, some may not have had the money but some also feel the need to
depend completely on the state,

For 14 years??? for accommodation?

The former Debenham in Mahon Point is re-opening today.

Plenty of work out there for those that want it but some prefer to be patronised and infantilised by Mick etc.

Upstairs has been reopened a while. Decent prices on sports goods. What's the new outlet moving into downstairs again?

Edit: Asked and answered. Thakns guys.

Job losses at twitter and facebook bears out how reliant we are on this sector for tax take,
Mick Barry was on the radio yesterday saying that we should increase the corporation tax to 25% even when it was pointed out to him that the international tech sector is currently struggling and we along with all the other OECD countries are raising it to 15%

Regina Doherty had to point out to him that the current tax take funds 25% of public services etc and Norn Iron has a corporation tax rate of 25% and does not get the investment + all the other benefits like jobs and investment that other countries would love to take off us.

He wants the State to nationalise them and just get the Government form their own tech giants.

Barking mad as per usual.

The State can hardly manage the health service never mind a nationalised social media company costing the taxpayer billions of €€€ (shitter, phasebuke or pintsasham?)
