Yup. Beale was the brains of the operation at ibrox when he was there. Slippy was just a front man with a great playing pedigree but never a manager. McAllister has a bit more about him than Slippy but in the ha'penny place compared to Beale I think.

Anyone else hearing the story going around that Slippy locked the players in the dressing room after the game to give them a dressing down and that was when the powers that be at Villa decided enough was enough
