Think most contracts now have performance elements in them i.e. can be terminated immediately if say club hasn't reached x points by certain stage of season, etc or hasn't reached play offs by end of season two, etc
Only the real heavy hitters can negotiate a contract with no break clause and get paid the full contract if sacked before end of contract term.
