International weapon brokers. If the country wants to liquidate the stock, they use their services. Many of those are from Belgium and the Netherlands.

Russian forces are unlikely to capture Bakhmut in the coming days, the head of the Wagner mercenary group has said.

According to Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose mercenaries have been spearheading the fighting in the eastern city for several months, Ukrainian forces are holed up in a makeshift “fortress” in the south of the front line city while fighting continues around them.

In a voice message uploaded to his Telegram channel, Mr Prigozhin said: "Bakhmut has still not been taken. Bakhmut is unlikely to be taken either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.”

"There is a quarter known as the 'Airplane' - it is like an impregnable fortress from a bed of multi-storey buildings in the southwest of Bakhmut, where incredibly heavy battles are going on."

Deputy Ukrainian Defence Minister Hanna Maliar said that Russian forces are trying to recapture land they have lost around the city, but Kyiv’s forces are repelling the attacks. In televised comments on Friday, Ms Maliar added that Russia had gained some ground inside the city itself, but they do not control it.

Bakhmut was taken months ago, the Ukrainians are merely using it as a meat grinder as saying it is now under Russian control would be an admission that not everything is going to plan.

Sorry to interrupt the circle jerk on here but reports coming in is that the remaining parts of the city and before now 70% of the city was under Russian control are now fully under Russian control.

I expect Ukraine to deny and deny but objective sources have to provide truthful news. Sorry to disappoint the armchair generals on here.

The head of the Russian mercenary Wagner group claimed Saturday his forces had taken control of the city of Bakhmut after the longest and most grinding battle of the war in Ukraine but Kyiv officials have denied it.

Ukraine has been saying for a long time it will conduct a counter offensive against Russia and that Bakhmut is strategically unimportant but it has been sacrificing lives for months now for a lost cause, contrary to Kiev, NATO and the armchair generals on the langers forum here the Russians are doing well but as usual breaking from group think would mean reevaluating the war. The months of claiming Ukraine is winning, Ukraine is winning would be replaced with caution and not shoving Ukrainians into a bloody mess but like generals of WW1 or during the Vietnam War it will take more blood to be spilt, more ruined buildings before Kiev and the West come to this reslisation.

This blue building is a one-story superstructure of an old underground command bunker - just right for ShadowSword which is made to dig up such objects. Before Photos from Maxar appeared:

It has been confirmed by the Russian ministry, Bakhmut has been taken. Now let's hope the people of the Donbass can rest more easily now that the fighting is over.
