I thought that was pure shit altogether but the children did enjoy it a lot. They’ve Probably seen it around five times.

Where The Crawdads Sing - 1/10 - Poorly acted, poorly plotted, melodramatic guff. The 1 point is for Brianna Barksdale from The Wire making an appearance.

Gabriel Byrne is the sheriff of a frontier gold mining town which has a killer on the loose.

Around 20 minutes too long and a paper thin storyline.

Exactly. It's a movie about an 8 foot tall alien super-hunter with a face like a well ridden fanny and heat vision who can fire projectiles from his helmet dismembering people in a jungle. Anyone expecting anything other than a (very well executed) leave your brain at the door action flick need to adjust their expectations.

The period piece about the Comance Wars told from the point of view of the man whose family was killed by the Spanish? Do it in Comanche, every time.

"If it bleeds, we can kill it" would definitely lose some punch if it were a subtitle.
