Pure Cork comedy, like! Hung Juror premieres next week

MON 2 - SAT 7 NOV, 8pm

Rehearsals are well underway for the upcoming production of Liam Heylin's new comedy Hung Juror, a home-grown Cork comedy that will bring you a night of comedy like no other, like!

A dope-growing juror wrestles with her verdict on a crazed stalker (alleged). Grainne’s been called for jury duty to pass judgment on Liam Healy, an unemployed north-sider who may or may not be guilty of stalking his ex. But Grainne’s got secrets of her own. There’s the marijuana plants growing in the attic for one thing. And husband Dermot’s relationship with the taxman may not be as straightforward as it seems…

With the creative team behind last year’s smash hit Love, Peace and Robbery and featuring two of Cork’s finest comic actors, Laura O’Mahony (RTE’s Storyland & Comedy Bites) and Shane Casey (Republic of Telly, Love Peace & Robbery), don’t miss the premiere of “Hung Juror”, a sharp, witty and brilliantly insightful comedy.

Book here: The Everyman presents: Hung Juror By Liam Heylin

As an Irish Examiner court reporter who moonlights as a playwright, the day job is a rich repository of stories for Liam Heylin.

His latest play, Hung Juror, is about a character called Gráinne who has been called for jury service to pass judgement on “an unemployed northsider”, Liam Healy, accused of stalking his ex.

In what Heylin describes as “moral wonkiness”, Gráinne has secrets of her own, including growing marijuana in her attic. Then there’s her husband’s relationship with the revenue commissioners which may not be as straightforward as it seems...

Playwright Liam Heylin is courting success on the Cork stage
