Saw this last night, the HSE are selling it for 350k, it's in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a forest, a former sanitorium. Wouldn't it be ideal for a prison, maybe not a max security one.

It would make a great hostel or budget hotel for that busy adventure area of Cork

Would agree...it was a nursing home before it closed over 10yrs ago.
Used visit a relative there when it was open...Beautiful remote unspoilt country side and wooded area not far from the Ballyhoura mountains... Access not great as only one way in/out on narrow road/boreen....Building itself would need major refurbishment or possibly demolition and rebuilding..Has potential though.

It has potential and the price is great. Re-furb it in phases for the adventurist tourist market?

HSE are probably banking on some investor buying that place, doing it up and then letting it out to the Dept of Justice for Immigrants.
