Not a hope I'd say. Those runs were done about 6 in the morning IIRC. His would have been the only bike there as well. I'd say this is a drag race thing where bikes competed( 2 at a time) over a quarter or half mile. I remember 1 of Mel's "warm up" runs was clocked at 130 mph, which was serious speed back in the early 80s. Bikes nowadays will do that in second or third gear. Lolz.

IIRC this was actually a Grand Prix circuit in the 30s. Cars used go clockwise from there out to Dennehy's Cross and out Model Farm Road as far as Carrigrohane. I'm pretty sure there's footage of it on YouTube.
