Had a rewatch of the 2007 Rumble. Fantastic rumble with a great ending and Umaga v Cena was a bloodbath. Worth a few hours but some filler in the show overrall.

As good a spectacle as AEW matches can be I'm in camp Cornette.

Owens hit Orton with a piledrive a banned move and he's off selling the injury. He hit Sami with it leading to a injured Sami demanding a dangerous unsactioned match due to not being cleared over the piledriver.

In AEW will osprey got hit with a tombstone piledriver on steel steps but within two minutes was up doing video game flips and more flips.

Anyone remember Screensport channel 40 back in the day if you are an old fucker like me? Thats how i found NWA wrestling. Always thought only WWF existed up until then. But i found the NWA stuff there and was introduced to Ric Flair, 4 Horsemen, Lex Luger, Sting, Road Warriors. Remember warching Flair v Ricky Steamboat for the title which Flair won in the match of the year in 1989.

NWA then before it became WCW was more gritty and had shittier production than WWF but the matches and storylines were so much better. Miss those days. Ill take off the rose tinted glasses now.

Great shout HS. AWA wrestling also appeared on Screensport hosted by Larry Nelson and had the likes of Curt Hennig, Nick Buckwinkle and Jimmy Snuka (Remember him being piledriven by Col De Beers on the concrete). One of the best features back then was the entrance songs. The Roadwarriors used Iron Man by Black Sabbath and the Rock'n Roll Express used 'Rock and Roll is king ' by ELO. Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin used 'Sharp Dressed Man' by ZZ Top.
