Watching the 92 rumble on youtube now my word what a rumble of stars.

Flair, Hogan, Texas Tornado, Bossman, Shawn, just star after star. Argubaly the best rumble ever with the winner getting the world title.

Bobby Heenan gave an absolute masterclass in commentary at that show. I miss those days when they were still protective of the business and kayfabe.

Yeah. And it sucked. It should have been Hogan v Flair. A match for the ages between Hogan and Flair. Possiby the greatest match of all time if it was built up the way it should have been. Both guys just a little off their prime at the time. Marks like me would have lost my shit for that but Vince went with the plastic Hollywood shit instead.

Ya the greatest Rumble ever bar none.2007 Rumble was good also Taker and Shawn the last 2 good finish.I assume CM Punk is winning this years.

If you were to ask me to name three geniuses, I probably wouldn't say Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior... I'd go Runnels, Keibler, Stratus. Sessions.

With regards to the 92 Rumble, even though we were still in the land of kayfabe, some fans had enough of Hulkamania. Hogan was booed out of the building in the post Rumble face-off with Sid. There was no way that Vince was gonna stick Hogan in a match with Flair and risk the crowd cheering for Naitch instead of Hogan. So Flair gets the strap at the Rumble instead.

I'm a little bit older than most on here so my fave Rumble will always be the 1990 one. Watching it live at 9pm was great. True story : my sister is little older than I am and she was in a bar called Kings in town that night and said the whole bar was glued to the telly when the Hogan/Warrior stand off happened.

Those guys make the best Wrestling videos on you tube btw. And they're funny with it.

Heenan was an absolute gem btw. I hated him growing up, which I was supposed to.

Yep. Watch the video, it's all good. But from 7.15 onwards addresses your point about Hogan.
