You could always use a proxy. They can't control the net. It was designed for military purposes. Even if the music industry launched a nuclear attack, the net should still work.

Google though seem to be making PirateBay inaccessible in some ways? Edit: it is working now via google. It was not the case for awhile.

Yeah, I came across this not too long ago.

According to Google the altered search results are caused by DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) complaints the company receives from copyright holders. One of the most recent takedown requests, sent by a company that protects the copyrights of porn producers, was targeted at The Pirate Bay.
