No more clamping in Cork

Its interesting now that this is happening, considering Leo Varadcur said not so long ago that he was going to introduce legislation to regulate the clamping business.

So is this the city council, perhaps saying F
this for a game of soldiers, or is it simply an accounting decision as I always understood that the clampers were an expense as opposed to actually creating revenue?

Of course they will still have their own wardens, unless people were following the parking rules, after all not too many of us have the money there and then to realise our cars.

I was watching a programme last night about Westminster Council.

Now apparently a traffic warden has to observe a vehicle in the same spot for 20 mins before puttin a ticket on it, not watch constantly but if they return 20 mins later and it's in the same place then they ticket it. What they do is note the position of the air valves on the tyres so they know it hasn't moved.

Now some drivers are wise to this, so the move the vehicle a fraction, when the warden comes back the 20 mins has to start again.

Loophole I never knew existed, is it the same there I wonder?
