poor old vice { the owner for a long time} pased away . poor man worked all his life, eventually sold up made his few bob and passed away while out forigen looking into a few apartments for his retirement.
i used get my dinner off him when he had the coburg street conor . great guy.
pity.
 
What about Hadji Beys - the Turkish Delight shop.
The Palace Cinema - ever before 'twas the Everyman.
The back entrance into P J O Heas is probably there since 1143 BC.
O Brien's ice cream parlour for a Nickerbocker Glory.
Paddy Barry's pub on the corner.
There was an underground bar (Subway ??) where Crowley's is now. Remember seeing Jimmy McCarthy & Freddie White playing there.

My father still talks about that when ever he get a turkish delight. "Hadji Beys and then into the pictures."
