Lost voice

A first for me, not to mention new addition to the hangover symptom list

Woke up this morning hoarse as if I was at a match, or an all weekend sing song session... which I wasn't.

Over the course of the day it worsened and now it's gone to a barely audible whisper. I need my voice back for tomorrow, any suggestions on a quick fix?

If you have any thyme in your kitchen boil it up in some water for twenty mins. to half an hour and let it cool, then strain it and gargle the water.

No thyme, not the fresh stuff anyway.

I can see the sadness on peoples faces when they realise I can't talk today
