Ladies Football AI Final

We are really seeing something special with this Cork Ladies Football Team.

Their dominance of the game since 2005 is amazing - Here's the roll of honour :-

Kerry - 11 Titles - 1976, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993

Cork - 6 Titles - 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011

Waterford - 5 Titles - 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1998

Mayo - 4 Titles - 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003

Tipp - 3 Titles - 1974, 1975, 1980

Monaghan - 2 Titles - 1996, 1997

Offaly - 2 Titles - 1979, 1981

And then - Laois, Cavan, Rocommon, Dublin & Galway with 1 title each.

The trend has been that counties dominate for a while and then fade.

Kerry were the dominant force from '82 to '93 (10 titles) but haven't been in a final since '93.

Kerry or Cork have never lost a Final so something will have to give today.

Cork had never been in a final until 2005 but have won them all since then except 2010 when Tyrone beat them in a massive upset.

Cork are 1/10 massive favourites to win - Rena Buckley and Breige Corkery played in the Camogie Final too, this year.

Cork are obviously one of the greatest teams of all time and have exceptional players in Corkery, Buckley, Juliet Murphy, Nollaig Cleary & Valerie Mulcahy.

It's a classic Cork V Kerry pairing and promises to be another great day for Cork Ladies Football.

This is going to be a massacre I'd say...that Cork team would beat a lot of men's teams they are so good. [Insert joke about Cork finally beating Kerry in Croke park here]

Funny how Cork men always crapped it at the sight of a Green & Gold jersey in Dublin. The women are made of sterner stuff alright but it will be an interesting game today :D

Cork hadn't won a Munster until 2004.

I'm heading in to see this. A Cork team beating a Kerry team in Croke Park - I can't let this slip by.

Fair Play, Jams. They deserve our support. I was thinking of going up for it and going to the Aviva last evening but the tickets there were €40 (Rip off IMO) so I'm watching it on TV4. I'll miss the county hurling final though.

I was reading about Juliet Murphy on the Sindo, just now. The effort they make is unreal - she's been playing senior for Cork for 17 years - that's some service to the county. If they win, I'm going into the City for the home-coming.
