A new 6th tier called Junior intermediate would be your idea? I was thinking along the same lines with maybe amalgamating divisions in Junior A, rather than asking maybe the likes of Youghal to have to play a game deep in West Corkif it was county wide? They’re well able to compete for both for sure and if they do both they could be representing Cork in Munster back to back. Junior A does seem to be such a bottleneck, that once you can get out of there it seems to get easier at times almost, the intermediate grades have a fair few sides that got stuck up there years back and couldn’t get relegated then.
Think the 5 county wide grades will work well going forward once they even out. Divisions still need some fixing next though. Still all in favour of opening Junior A and beyond into countywide championships with multiple sides up and down each year.
For example something like
Imokilly, Avondhu
Beara, Carbery,
Duhallow, Muskerry
Seandun, Carrigdhoun
