Isis

Situation in Iraq and environs is pretty appalling, and it's difficult to see a positive outcome. Foreign intervention looks attractive as an option on the face of it, but let's not forget that foreign intervention has a lot to answer for in terms of breathing life into groups like ISIS to begin with. Where would they have recruited from in Iraq had it not been for the occupation?

And the situation is further complicated by the extremely hostile attitude of the Turkish regime to Kurdistan. The Kurdish zone seems (to my knowledge at any rate) to have been the most stable and successful part of Iraq since the occupation began. But the Turkish state is a powerful player here, and who would they choose between ISIS and a strong, successful Kurdistan? I am not sure.

Then you have Iran, which in league with the Shia majority in Iraq seems to me best placed to take on ISIS successfully. But who will support Iran expanding its influence in the region? Not, presumably, the US, Israel, or Saudi. Nor, indeed, the Sunni minority in Iraq, even those who abhor ISIS.

I fear the region is in for a torrid time ahead.

500 men, women and children buried alive by ISIS in Iraq.

Why isn't there mass demonstrations in Dublin?

Because it's not the nasty joos and their US sponsored hardware. Because people will have to open their eyes to the barbarity of that religion. Because the only solution is aggressive foreign military intervention( certainly not a hip thing to demand on the streets, man)

Hmmm, Ukraine, Malaysian flights, Gaza, Isis , and Ebola could do a lot more harm than these newsy items . Any guesses on what the next crisis will be ?
Bad shit

To whom would the protests be addressed? The ISIS embassy? Some government department which is facilitating ISIS's crimes?

Don't be so feckin flippant.Try your own government and the U.N . ISIS , if you could find their e-mail , are unlkely to say , "fair point, we'll stop. "
On the other hand you can sit on you r arse and do nothing . Protesting doesn't cost much, may do no good, but will do no harm .

To people like you whose only interest is Jew bashing.

It's been noted that you and the other Hamas terrorist apologists aren't screaming blue murder about what is happening to the innocent children in Iraq.

Talk about double standards.

The Gaza stuff is more exciting for the Hamas apologists at present .Until a few weeks ago they probably thought Hamas was NO. 67 on the Star of the Empire Tandoori menu .
