Iphone to tv problem.

I nned to connect my iphone to the tv.
Went to an apple store for the cable and they gave me the cable in the picture.
I wired it up to the tv but could only get sound, then i tried it connected through the dvd recorder and the same again, only sound.

is it a setting on the phone, because i cant find it.

any ideas??

Sorry if this is a stupid question but are you sure you've got the component input selected on the TV? It could be on the composite one which would explain the sound (Yellow, red & white RCAs)

One other thought: I've seen on a few TVs that some video inputs won't work properly if you've got, say an svideo lead, plugged in next to the group of inputs that you're trying to plug RCA connectors into.
