Paul McGrath wrote extensively in his book about the racism he faced in Ireland growing up.
He also mentioned how appallingly his mother was treated for having the temerity to have a child with a black man.
Said he still remembers the looks they got the odd trip they had together as mother and son as he grew up mostly in an orphanage in Dalkey.
Says a lot of his drinking issues stem from what happened then.

Ireland was never a racist country. I'm saying the lefties are weaponising the term now to further their own agenda, so in reality ,who really are the racists.

Just on Newstalk that the government are boasting that the time for processing came down from average of 4 years to a few months.

There were people in direct provision for years and years, the dragged out processing only served the vested interests providing accommodation, legal services etc.

It's "amazing" they're reducing welfare rates for Ukrainians, demolishing tented villages and reducing processing time during an election cycle. 🤔
