anyone here into the home brew?

I'm not living in Ireland but I'm coming home at Christmas and was wondering if there's a place around cork to pick up the basic home brew equipment as a present for the brother.

I have my own starter kit where I am. cost me around €50 to put it together so I'd like this to be around the same mark.

I got mine in Dublin but the place is closed now afaik

I don't use it so much really because the price of beer has fallen so much in the last few years that it is purely for interest/a hobby and not going to save you anything really given the quality gap

Wallace is in a club that do some amazing brews by the sound of things

The Health Food shop in Paul street used to do basic kits

Bradleys on North main street have Basic kits in stock usually .

Good next day online sellers as well in Portlaoise and Galway and Templemore I think .

there's a new bricks and mortar place opened in Dublin recently

Ah its a fairly standard affair - I can't point it out as they have gone bust and the site is gone, but its a plastic fermenter with the various taps, bungs, hydrometer etc and I got 48 glass 500ml bottles with flip tops like the Grolsch ones
