Back in the 1980s there was a folk group from Waterford who did a version office "Lanigan's Ball". They could have been a family.
Anyone remember the name of the group?

They had a song that began "I love you said the lady, where you been these last few years. The sailor didn't answer, he just smiled through his tears". Another part of the song is "He'd never go to sea again and stand upon the quay without a friend".
