Very curious to know what the FAI thinks its doing here.

Given the tens of millions of public money required to keep it afloat in recent years, due partly to its own awful deal making, there really needs to be a clear reasoning for it and proper accountability when it inevitably turns out to be a financial loss for the FAI.
