Getting around London,

Heading to london on friday for four days with wife and two kids, What is the best way to pay for the tube? Are there weekend passes, Or should i just pay as we go?

Once inside London travel zones, basically Center of london and surrounding boroughs, then kids are free. So best option is to buy the weekend travel pass for the london zones. It wont cover you from the airports, at least not Gatwick, Stanstead or Luton. I think heathrow might be covered. But just pay seperately for the return to/from airport and then get your weekend travel pass for jumping on/off tubes, trains, buses in and around london.
Their public transport has gone crazy expensive, but this is the best option for you.
I was their a couple months ago, flew to gatwick, and this is was the best option i found.

Thank you, I have already booked the stansted express,

The Tube is great for getting around.
Ubers are cheaper than taxis and black cabs and quick as well if under time pressure. You cannot flag down an uber, just through the app.

I just use my bank card tap and go when I go over used buy an oyster card but nowadays it's card .
Stanstead express from Stanstead to Liverpool street
