Gardai attacking Cork Music

I would take a wild guess that they are calling in and simply requesting it. There would be implication being that disobedience will lead to repercussions, harassment, visits. Guessing aside, I know of actual instances where they have been entering the premises while music is on and telling the staff to tell the band or DJ to stop.
The Crane Lane now stops Bands at 1:30AM as opposed to previously 2:00 AM.
Even Charlies stops weekend gigs around Midnight as opposed to previously 12:30 AM

First I heard of this,
There is a general trend that people want the gigs on earlier because they are nott staying out til 2am sun to thur for fear of being bagged I. The morning,we moved our midnight gigs to 11.30 hence the earlier finishing times ,going out earlier Is where it’s been the last 12 months and heading home earlier.

Facts

Dublin late bars stay open till 3 AM. Connections between cause and effect are sometimes obvious and certain. We see people consistently leaving a venue after the band stops at 12, only to go over to another venue with a late licence. A few months ago, on one particular night, Gardai invaded many or all venues, starting at Washington street, making their way townwards. One of our X's was in the Crane that night. The music stopped early, for the first time. Last Friday night three uniformed Gardai invaded another venue around 11. They were looking to see a Licence which is obviously on record. They could also have called in during the afternoon. These uninformed intrusions, at peak busy times, is absolutely unnecessary and obviously intimidatory. Evidence points to a new Garda throwing his or her weight around, or worse, a considered initiative.
Could it be wilful distraction from their utter failure in dealing with Murder, Persistent Violence, and the Smack Epidemic?
Cop on lads.

I don't think you understand the difference between facts and conjecture...

Innuendo

I don't think you understand the difference between facts and conjecture...
Vague innuendo. Classic but facile juvie lawyer nonsense. When you have nothing to contribute, you say something like "I'm not so sure about that" or "Is there any evidence to support these claims"
Well actually there is. The events I wrote of, the mass invasion of venues months ago, and the recent one, were obviously witnessed. I see Benny mentioned, he was on the door on the night. Many people obviously witnessed last Friday's one on Douglas Street.
It is of course conjecture that the early termination of music is a direct result of the Garda invasion of many venues with demands to cease music.
But it is fact that all of these things happened.
What's your game Matlock? do you approve of this Garda behaviour?

You are making the mistake of conflating correlation and causation.
