You have to keep taking Finasteride, even after the transplant or your hair will keep falling out. Stuie must have forgot to take it. Hair transplants aren't a one and done at all.

I know next to nothing about him tbh.
Sounds like he persecuted her but didn't go full Giggs on her.
Also sounds a little like he got away with it punishment wise.
