For those suffering West Wing withdrawal

I don't think so.

It does all the cut throat and skullduggery - it just doesn't do it in a psychodrama way.
Toby getting schooled by his friend on the bipartisan breakfast. Josh on tobacco. Leo and the addiction. Amy the looper trying to sabotage her own party's initiatives. Sam's friend being cut loose because he likes white juries.

It's all there. My only gripe with it, is they miss the opportunity to educate the US public about major issues and conflicts around the world. I suppose that was not its purpose but for example the summit on the Middle East clearly exposed the issues on both sides of the Israel Palestine issue.

I have watched it end to end minimum 15 to 20 times.

I love it.
Hoynes resigning and Russell entering the fray. One scene I really liked was when Russell essentially admitted to leaking information about Bartlett’s daughter to score political points. Russell wasn’t the brightest but he was cunning.

Oh you missed so much. Seasons two and three in particular were brilliant.
I've seen a few episodes from various seasons, and it just confounds me. The conscientiousness, the ethics, the humanity.

Those things are PR devices, not reality.

Cop onto yourself. I've shown you extraordinary humanity. However you just spit it back in my face
